These credits are not consumed all at once; rather, they represent the capacity to evaluate a certain volume of records for duplication. Each record in your database consumes one duplicate credit per year.

For example, if your database contains 10,000 accounts and 20,000 contacts that you wish to check for duplicates, you would need a total of 30,000 duplicate credits. If you merge 5,000 contacts but also add 10,000 new contacts throughout the year, you will have used 40,000 credits in total.
